Our company recently received advance assurance for EIS/SEIS from HMRC after working with the Jonathan Lea Network for the application process. We specifically chose JLN due to them having had specific experience with our niche (film and TV production company), and working with Callum Ritchie we received approval in a relatively short timeframe considering the challenges of 2020. Through detailed and succinct correspondence we were successful after just one exchange of follow-up questions with HMRC, and we would definitely recommend these guys for anyone else seeking EIS/SEIS assurance, especially with the specific challenges presented by being a film/TV production company.

After searching for someone with expertise and a solid reputation, we engaged with JL for a Declaration of Trust. We were assigned Andreea Rusu (trainee) but felt we were in safe hands from the outset. The process was relatively smooth - the only wrinkles were teething issues during signing as we had to move to no-contact, fully digital method as it was Covid lockdown. Never-the-less, Andreea was always available to help out and during drafting and signing process, she certainly went the "extra mile or two". Dealing with Andreea was an absolute delight. She was super responsive, professional, helpful and friendly. I would have no hesitation in endorsing Andreea to others.
