Samara Bebb-Bassett

Samara is an experienced administrator and Legal Assistant with experience in Private Client and Conveyancing. Before joining the legal sector, she worked as a freelance ecologist and environmental consultant, supporting landowners, land managers and environmental professionals. She graduated from the Open University in 2024 with a BSc (Hons) focused on Environmental and Land Management and is now preparing for the SQE assessments with the aim of qualifying as a solicitor. Samara hopes to develop her legal career while building on her interest in agriculture, rural affairs, conservation and land management.

Education

Graduated in 2024 with a BSc (Hons) from the Open University, focused on Environmental and Land Management. 

Currently preparing for the SQE Assessments, with the goal of qualifying as a solicitor. 

Long-term aim is to eventually work more closely with clients in the agriculture and rural sector but she is unsure on which area of law she would like to work in. Samara is currently building on her work experience while studying. 

Interests

• Walks with her husband and their two dogs
• Reading books
• Training with her Pointer x English Springer Spaniel, working towards qualifying as an operational Conservation Detection Dog and Handler team.

Recent work

Samara joined the legal sector following her work as a freelance ecologist and environmental consultant, working closely with landowners, managers and other ecologists. 

Samara’s passion for supporting clients led her to embark on a career change into the legal sector and her work with property, surveys and advising on the legal aspects of biodiversity, land management and conservation, provided a natural progression to joining her first firm within residential and commercial property. Samara has also had the opportunity to support private client teams and is looking forward to working with the Jonathan Lea Network and building on her experience, as well as building her career with the firm.
